Standing on 23" high reinforced skids, our Safety Kennels feature a strong steel frame design with rear enclosure, protecting your dogs from the weather, fleas and parasites, other dogs, snake bites and hazards.

What is involved with assembly and can they be disassembled for transport?

Like all our products, our Raised Safety Kennels are flat-packed for easy and efficient transport to your home. The simple bolt-together modular design means they can be partially or fully dismantled for storage or transport. Are the Raised Safety Kennels hot? What about colder weather?

We have received many reports from customers about their dogs jumping into the Raised Safety Kennel to cool off in warmer weather. The raised design not only keeps them safe but also allows for airflow. The skids make it super easy to relocate your unit to a suitable location for local conditions. During the cooler months, you can add our medium-sized insulated CozyCubes made from commercial-grade coldroom panels. These panels act as a thermal barrier, keeping the cold out and the heat in!

Do you have timber flooring for the Raised Safety Kennels?

We switched to fiberglass composite flooring a while ago because it offers many benefits over timber alternatives. It’s non-porous, so it doesn’t absorb waste, lasts much longer, is stronger, doesn’t retain heat like timber, won’t splinter, and is just as comfortable for dogs!

What is the flooring made from and does it get hot?

All of our Raised Safety Kennels come with fiberglass composite flooring panels. This material doesn’t retain heat like plastic alternatives and doesn’t absorb waste like timber flooring. We’ve received plenty of great feedback on how comfortable the flooring is for dogs’ paws, and it allows for plenty of airflow to keep dogs cool in warmer weather!

Can the Raised Safety Kennels be used for other animals?

We've had customers use our kennels for all sorts of animals, including chickens, ducks, rabbits, goats, and cats; however, suitability will depend on your specific needs. You can find some examples from our customers in the reviews section.

What is the height? Can they be lowered? Can the skids be removed/kept off?

Our Raised Safety Kennels are designed with standard 23 inch skids, but there are a couple of options to modify your unit if you prefer it lower to the ground:

1. The skid legs can be cut down to the height you prefer.

2. You can leave the skid legs off during assembly and place your unit directly on the ground or other support. We recommend placing the kennel on bricks or a similar surface to allow for adequate waste drainage in this situation.

How do the Raised Safety Kennels handle windy or stormy weather?

Our Raised Safety Kennels are very strong and sturdy, made with a galvanized steel 1.2" x 1.2" SHS frame. If you are concerned about general movement, you can certainly anchor or secure your kennel to the ground.
